The 2009 Cheval Blanc has a dark garnet color and offers aromas of blueberries, blackberry compote and crème de cassis with hints of chocolate mint, new leather and cloves as well as a touch of candied violets. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is an expression of elegance with very noble, super-fine-grained tannins, beautiful freshness and complex mineral blue and black fruits and ends long and aromatic.

Château Cheval Blanc This 18th century château is located in the commune of Saint-Émilion on the right bank of the Gironde and has been awarded the highest distinction of “Premier Grand Cru Classé A” in all classifications to date (some even place it above this) and has the same reputation in Saint-Émilion as Château Mouton-Rothschild in the Médoc. As a novelty for the region, the red wine is made with a very high proportion of Cabernet Franc. Due to the iron-rich gravel and sandy soil on clay, this variety achieves a ripeness like nowhere else in Bordeaux. Château Cheval Blanc is best known for its special label, which depicts a leaping white stallion and has become a symbol of excellence and prestige in the wine world. The Château's Grand Vin is considered an icon. A unique, unmistakable wine that is coveted by wine lovers all over the world and is therefore hard to come by.
