Die Weine von Château Latour 

Der Grand Vin Château Latour verkörpert die klassische Kraft von Pauillac wie kaum ein anderer Bordeaux Wein und verbindet Konzentration mit bemerkenswerter Präzision. 

Typische Aromen umfassen Cassis, Brombeeren, Schwarzkirschen, Zedernholz, Tabak, Graphit, Veilchen und feine Gewürznoten. Mit zunehmender Reife entwickeln sich komplexe Nuancen von Leder, Trüffel, Zigarrenkiste und Bleistiftmine. 

Charakteristisch ist die enorme Struktur der Weine. In ihrer Jugend wirken viele Jahrgänge kraftvoll und verschlossen. Es ist der Wein, der von allen Médoc-Weinen die längste Reifezeit benötigt. Dann aber entwickelt er mit der Reife eine außergewöhnliche Tiefe und Komplexität. Große Jahrgänge können problemlos mehrere Jahrzehnte, oftmals über ein halbes Jahrhundert und länger altern. 

Neben dem Grand Vin erzeugt Château Latour mit "Les Forts de Latour" einen der renommiertesten Zweitweine in Bordeaux, der von 40 % des Weinbergbesitzes stammt. Hinzu kommt der "Pauillac de Latour" als dritter Wein des Hauses mit rund 30 %. 

Dank seiner Kombination aus historischem Terroir, kompromissloser Qualitätsphilosophie und außergewöhnlicher Beständigkeit gilt Château Latour heute als Referenz für großen Rotwein aus Pauillac und als einer der bedeutendsten 1er Grand Cru Classé des Bordeaux.
