Château Latour Les Forts de Latour Grand Cru Classé 2014

Les Forts de Latour, the great second wine of the famous château, was named after a historic parcel. The grapes come from selected plot blocks with very different terroirs, to which Forts de Latour owes its varied character and complex flavor profile. In 1966 the wine was awarded this name for the first time. Through the constant development of its quality, it reaches the level of a Médoc Grand Cru Classé. The Forts de Latour is made with the same care as the Grand Vin, both in the vineyard and in the winery. Aside from the origin of the grapes, the only notable difference is the proportion of new casks used for aging.
