Die Weine von Château Haut-Brion

Der Grand Vin von Château Haut-Brion zählt zu den größten Rotweinen der Welt. Typisch sind komplexe Aromen von schwarzen Johannisbeeren, Pflaumen, Zigarrenkiste, Graphit, Leder, Rauch und Gewürzen. Besonders charakteristisch ist die oft beschriebene rauchige Note, die viele Verkoster als unverwechselbares Merkmal von Haut-Brion ansehen.

Die Weine besitzen eine außergewöhnliche Tiefe und entwickeln sich über Jahrzehnte hinweg weiter. Große Jahrgänge können problemlos mehrere Jahrzehnte reifen und zählen zu den begehrtesten Sammlerweinen überhaupt.

Neben dem Grand Vin erzeugt das Château mit "Le Clarence de Haut-Brion" einen Zweitwein, der einen früheren Zugang zum Stil des Hauses ermöglicht. Darüber hinaus gehört das benachbarte Château La Mission Haut-Brion zur gleichen Eigentümerfamilie und bildet gemeinsam mit Haut-Brion eines der bedeutendsten Qualitätszentren des Bordeaux.

Besondere Aufmerksamkeit genießen auch die Weißweine des Châteaus. "Haut-Brion Blanc" zählt zu den seltensten und begehrtesten trockenen Weißweinen Frankreichs. Seine Kombination aus Konzentration, Frische und Langlebigkeit macht ihn zu einer Ikone des französischen Weinbaus.
