Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2017 Haut-Brion Blanc sashays from the glass with convivial notions of peach jam, pineapple tart and orange blossom with hints of musky perfume, candied ginger and allspice. Medium-bodied on the palate, it reveals a beautiful silky texture with amazing citrus and tropical fruit intensity and a seriously racy backbone that carries the layers to a very long, impactful finish. Give this a few more years to really strut its stuff and I wouldn't be at all surprised if this justifies the full three-figure figure. Bravo!
