The Clarence of Haut Brion

Château Haut-Brion
France | Bordeaux | Pessac-Léognan
Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker

The 2016 Le Clarence de Haut-Brion is medium to deep garnet-purple in color. It has aromas of rosehip tea, fallen leaves, black olives, red currant jelly, cassis and pencil lead, as well as a hint of menthol. On the palate it is medium-bodied, finely crafted with delicate red and black fruits interwoven with plenty of earthy accents, framed by grainy tannins and with a lingering mineral note .
