Description
France / Bordeaux / Graves / Pessac-Léognan
After Clarence Dillon bought Haut-Brion in 1935, he helped the Château regain its former glory and re-entered the elite circle of the world's most legendary wines. This exceptional and audacious vision is now being carried on by the fourth generation of the family. Located in the town of Pessac, a few kilometers from Bordeaux, Château Haut-Brion is one of the Dillon family's three wineries and the oldest winery in the region. The vineyards cover a total area of 46 hectares, with an average vine age of 40 years. Château Haut-Brion's special status is also evident in the fact that it is the only one of the 61 Châteaux classified in 1855 not located in the Médoc.
