This exceptional and courageous vision is now continued by the fourth generation of the family. Château Haut-Brion, one of the three Dillon family estates and the oldest winery in the region, is located in the town of Pessac, a few kilometers from Bordeaux. The vineyards cover a total area of 46 hectares, with the average age of the vines being 40 years. Château Haut-Brion's unique position is also evident in the fact that it is the only one of the 61 châteaux classified in 1855 not located in the Médoc.
