Description
France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Pauillac
The history of Château Latour begins in the 14th century with the construction of the fortress tower that is depicted on the label. Château Latour is one of only five wineries in the Médoc that were elevated to the rank of "Premier Grand Cru Classé" in the Bordeaux classification of 1855. François Pinault has managed the winery since 1993. And although the Grand Vin has become a luxury brand under his leadership, the long-lasting wine is always a reflection of the unique terroir and many wine critics see Château Latour as a leading Premier Grand Cru winery. The grapes for the Grand Vin come exclusively from the top location "L'Enclos" Nahe the Gironde, with some vines that are over 100 years old.
