The 2005 Cheval Blanc is a thoroughly elegant, beautiful, deep bluish-ruby wine from St.-Emilion with raspberry, blueberry and floral notes, impressive density, great precision, freshness and purity. Full-bodied but extremely light on its feet, I don't mean to rave but it is super intense, rich and just so carefully made! This is another fabulous wine and a perfect expression of this vintage. It's hard to forget the gorgeous blueberry and raspberry fruit, full body, sweet tannin, layered texture, purity and palate presence of this stunning wine.

Château Cheval Blanc This 18th century château is located in the commune of Saint-Émilion on the right bank of the Gironde and has been awarded the highest distinction of “Premier Grand Cru Classé A” in all classifications to date (some even place it above this) and has the same reputation in Saint-Émilion as Château Mouton-Rothschild in the Médoc. As a novelty for the region, the red wine is made with a very high proportion of Cabernet Franc. Due to the iron-rich gravel and sandy soil on clay, this variety achieves a ripeness like nowhere else in Bordeaux. Château Cheval Blanc is best known for its special label, which depicts a leaping white stallion and has become a symbol of excellence and prestige in the wine world. The Château's Grand Vin is considered an icon. A unique, unmistakable wine that is coveted by wine lovers all over the world and is therefore hard to come by.
