Château Cheval Le Petit Cheval Blanc 2018
Description
Description
The 18th-century château is located directly on the border with Pomerol. Unique to the region, the red wine is made with a very high proportion of Cabernet Franc. This variety achieves a ripeness here due to the iron-rich gravel and sandy soil on clay that is unparalleled anywhere else in Bordeaux. Château Cheval Blanc has consistently been awarded the highest distinction "Premier Grand Cru Classé A" in all classifications to date and enjoys the same reputation in Saint-Émilion as Château Mouton-Rothschild in Médoc. Since 2014, Château Cheval Blanc has been producing the white wine Le Petit Cheval Bordeaux Blanc in very small quantities. The grapes come from a small, Premier Grand Cru classified, parcel.
