Description

France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion

The 18th-century château is located directly on the border with Pomerol. As a novelty for the region, the red wine is made with a very high proportion of Cabernet Franc. Due to the iron-rich gravel and sandy soil over clay, this variety ripens here like nowhere else in Bordeaux. Château Cheval Blanc has been awarded the highest distinction "Premier Grand Cru Classé A" in all classifications to date (some even rank it higher) and enjoys the same reputation in Saint-Émilion as Château Mouton-Rothschild in Médoc. The Grand Vin of the Château is considered an icon, a unique, unmistakable wine, coveted by wine lovers all over the world and therefore difficult to obtain.
