Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2010 Cheval Blanc opens slowly and reveals almost tantalizing aromas of melted chocolate, pickled morello cherries, blackberries and blueberry compote with a hint of undergrowth, cigar box, caraway and sandalwood. It is full-bodied on the palate. The black fruit aromas mature slowly and reveal a multitude of nuances. The wine is still very youthful and ends with an incredibly persistent, breathtaking firework of earthy and mineral aromas.
