About Us
Collectors Wine World was founded in 2015 out of founder and entrepreneur Carsten Knauer's passion for good wine and his desire to share it with his network. Collectors Wine World now has an almost unique portfolio of over 100,000 bottles from the 1990s onwards. The range includes wines from smaller estates that focus on sustainability and are exclusively represented, as well as all the major wine icons from France, Italy, Spain, the USA, South Africa and Germany. Particularly noteworthy is the almost complete Bordeaux collection from 2014 onwards.
Wine is a matter of taste. So that every wine lover can find the right tipple, our fine wine experts and sommeliers are available for personal advice. We give individual recommendations and insider tips, present rarities and recommend outstanding everyday wines. The authenticity of the wines is guaranteed by purchasing them directly from the château. They are stored under optimal conditions at 14°C and 65% humidity. Part of the warehouse is reserved for you, our customers, so that you can be sure that your wine treasures are safe.
As part of the CORVIS Family Office, Collectors Wine World stands for independence and personality and attaches great importance to sustainability.
Sustainability: A central concern
For us, sustainability is more than a concept - it is close to our hearts. Since October 2024, we have been proud to be certified according to the ZNU standard "Sustainable Business". This unique, certifiable sustainability standard requires a comprehensive management system that takes environmental, economic and social dimensions into account equally.
"We are proud to have the ZNU certificate and it also encourages us to continue to develop," stresses Julian Tröger, Managing Director of Collectors Wine World. "Sustainable action opens up enormous potential, particularly in the wine sector, along the entire value chain - from production to delivery. Together with our wine producers, we want to make targeted use of these opportunities."
Thanks to the ZNU standard, we were able to implement an effective sustainability management system
We have identified key issues, formulated specific goals based on them and developed appropriate measures. This approach enables us to continuously improve and make progress on the path to more sustainable business measurable.
The annual audit by independent auditors - in our case TÜV Rheinland - ensures that we meet the standard, pursue our goals and improve year after year.
Less packaging material:
We want to increase single bottle shipping by 15% by the end of 2025 compared to
year 2023 and thus save packaging waste and shipping materials.
Bottles usually arrive in our wine warehouse in boxes of six bottles and
we want to send them on as soon as possible. As soon as we open a box,
All six bottles must be packed and shipped individually, which is significantly
means more packaging material.
Customer in focus:
We want to systematically determine our customer satisfaction and to do so by the end of 2024
We want to present the results of the first survey by 2026
improve by 20%.
Sustainable wines:
We want to make our wines clearly identifiable as sustainable and to do so
By mid-2025, define criteria and assign them to each individual wine.
We also determine the proportion of sustainable wines in our range, the
which we then want to increase by 10% by 2027.
Social commitment:
We are committed locally and support sustainable projects in our
Communities. Our employees have the opportunity to spend two days per year
to actively support a social project of their choice with full pay.
By 2024, we want to provide at least 120 hours of social and
support ecological projects.
The health and well-being of our employees is important to us. For us, health means both physical and mental health. Only healthy and satisfied employees can do good work. That's why we want to create a working environment in which our employees feel comfortable and can give their best.

We use 100% green electricity in our warehouse and office spaces. We will also be creating a carbon footprint in 2024 to identify further areas for action.
