Château Clerc Milon 2018

Château Clerc Milon is a renowned Pauillac Cru Classé (1855), located between Mouton and Lafite on deep gravel and sandy-gravel soils with a calcareous-clay subsoil.

The roughly 41 hectares are Cabernet-focused (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenère) and precisely divided into parcels. Since the estate was acquired by the Rothschild family of Mouton, it has been extensively modernised both technically and viticulturally: accurate canopy and yield work, selective hand harvesting, a gravity-flow cellar and parcel-by-parcel vinification. Ageing in French oak is restrained and finely integrated. Stylistically, Clerc Milon shows the elegant power of Pauillac: ripe cassis and blackberry fruit, cedarwood and graphite, tightly woven, silky tannins and very good ageing potential.
