"Deep violet-black in color, the 2017 Ducru-Beaucaillou slowly unfolds wonderfully fragrant aromas of warm cherry brandy, wild blueberries, fresh red and black currants and violets with a hint of undergrowth and Earl Grey tea. On the palate it shows great freshness and elegance , with very well integrated, soft tannins and plenty of aromatic fruit, with a lingering spicy note in the finish ."
