Description
Description
France / Bordeaux / Saint-Émilion
Marcel Dassault, founder of the aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation, spontaneously purchased Château Couperie in 1955. He renamed the château after himself and made every effort to turn it into a renowned winery. The quality of the wines improved year after year. With its designation as Grand Cru Classé, Château Dassault achieved its well-deserved status in 1969. Over the years, the estate has expanded to almost fifty hectares, making it one of the largest properties in Saint-Émilion. Since 1995, it has been managed by Laurence Brun. The outstanding qualities of their Grand Cru Classé wines were reconfirmed for another ten years in the last classification of 2012.
