Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The La Mission Haut-Brion 2019 Blanc is composed of 69.9% Semillon and 30.1% Sauvignon Blanc, harvested from August 30 to September 10. The estimated alcohol content on the label is 14%. Notes of freshly squeezed lime, grapefruit juice and white peaches waft from the glass, followed by hints of yuzu zest, coriander seed, unripe pineapple, wet pebbles and green mango with a hint of fennel. The palate is medium to full-bodied, offering layer upon layer of citrus and mineral accents wrapped in a beautiful silky texture and characterized by seamless freshness, with the finish long and chalky.
