Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2015 La Mission Haut-Brion shows aromas of red currants, black raspberries, cassis, blackberries, charcoal, iron ore and truffles as well as a hint of violets and earthy-mineral notes. Medium to full-bodied, extremely fruity and yet wonderfully elegant with very ripe, very silky tannins and an almost electric intensity of vibrant red and black fruit aromas, it ends long and mineral. Simple. Wonderful.
