Neal Martin for Robert Parker
The 2014 Château La Mission Haut-Brion has an exquisite bouquet of pure black fruit, cold stone, a hint of black olive and later a hint of boysenberry jam. The palate is structured and quite masculine considering that much of it is Merlot. It becomes more lively in the second half, with a lovely spiciness and impressive persistence .
