The Perrin family has been cultivating their vineyards sustainably since the 1950s. Under Jacques Perrin, after whom the famous Mourvèdre cuvée "Hommage à Jacques Perrin" is named, the vineyard was expanded and Château de Beaucastel became world-renowned for its great wines. Hommage à Jacques Perrin is valued for its great aging potential and is considered one of the best wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is only produced in exceptionally good years from grapes predominantly from very old Mourvèdre vines, which yield tiny quantities of intensely ripe, concentrated fruit. The Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin is an excellent choice for the cellar, to be opened on special occasions.

Château de Beaucastel is one of the most important estates in Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the flagship of Famille Perrin. The historic Rhône estate farms around 130 hectares of vineyards on the appellation's characteristic pebble and sandy soils. Beaucastel is particularly known for using all thirteen permitted grape varieties and for its unusually high proportion of Mourvèdre.
