The Perrin family has been cultivating their vineyards organically since the 1950s. Under Jacques Perrin, who gave his name to the famous Mourvèdre cuvée "Hommage a Jacques Perrin", the vineyard was expanded and Château de Beaucastel became known worldwide for great wines. Hommage à Jacques Perrin is appreciated for its great aging potential and is one of the best wines from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is made only in particularly good years from grapes from mostly very old Mourvèdre vines, which provide minute amounts of intensely ripe, concentrated fruit. The Château de Beaucastel Hommage à Jacques Perrin is an excellent choice for the cellar to open on special occasions.
