The dry, sparkling wines from Chablis are world famous for their quality and style. Chablis is the most northerly wine region in the Burgundy region with a fairly cool climate. The white, chalky soil gives the wines their characteristic flint note, and the Chardonnay grape provides fruit and substance. The Premier Cru vineyard Fourchaume has been certified organic since 2019 and is planted with Chardonnay vines that are on average 40 years old. Fourchaume is one of the most well-known Premier Cru vineyards in Chablis. This crisp, convincing Chablis comes from the renowned manufacturer Simonnet-Febvre, who has specialized in the production of Chablis since 1840.
