Hubert de Boüard-de-Laforêt was born at Château Angélus and spent his childhood among the vines. Today he is a winemaker, oenologist and co-owner of the world-famous Premier Grand Cru Classé family winery. From the 2016 vintage, he produces a Sauvignon Blanc from grapes from his own vineyard plots of just 2 hectares, selected for their excellent terroir. Each plot is cultivated in a way that protects the surrounding ecosystems and allows the grapes to be harvested manually at the best possible degree of ripeness. Hubert de Boüard only produces a limited amount of each wine to ensure authenticity and bottles the limited amount under his own name.
