Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2016 La Chapelle displays exuberant aromas of red roses, black tea with a core of crushed blackberries, sour cherries and cassis plus hints of cinnamon stick and earthy notes. On the palate it shows great intensity of ripe black berries and floral layers, framed by soft, silky tannins and endless freshness, with a long, mineral finish.
