The 2019 Léoville Poyferré shows itself very well in the bottle and in the glass exudes aromas of crème de cassis and wild berries that mingle with notes of liquorice, clay soil, cigar paper and smoke. It is full-bodied, velvety and polished, broad and enveloping, with a rich fruit core, ripe tannins and juicy freshness that end in a long, precise finish. The 2019 is the most voluptuous of the three Léovilles and offers excellent enjoyment over a long period of time.
