"The 2017 Léoville Poyferré is medium to deep garnet purple in color and needs a little coaxing to reveal beautiful aromas of violets, Black Forest gateau and blueberry jam with hints of raspberry leaves, roses, cigar box and fragrant earth. On the palate it is medium-bodied, intense and complex, with a well-balanced framework of soft, fine-grained tannins and a long and refreshing finish. "
