The winery, founded in 1870, was particularly influenced by Miguel A. Torres. He introduced the grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc and was particularly committed to environmental protection. He has received several awards for his life's work. Today, the fifth generation is responsible and continues the innovative spirit of experimentation and consistent quality control. The winery is considered one of the most modern in the world. As early as the mid-1980s, the focus was increasingly on organic viticulture.
