Der rote Grand Vin von Château Smith Haut Lafitte zählt zu den bedeutendsten Weinen von Pessac-Léognan. Er verbindet dunkle Frucht mit den für die Appellation typischen Noten von Graphit, Tabak, Gewürzen und feinen Raucharomen. Kraft und Eleganz stehen dabei in einem ausgewogenen Verhältnis.

Die Weißweine genießen einen ebenso herausragenden Ruf. Sie gehören zu den begehrtesten trockenen Weißweinen des Bordeaux und verbinden die Frische des Sauvignon Blanc (90 %) mit der Fülle und Komplexität des Sémillon und Sauvignon Gris. Zitrusfrüchte, weiße Blüten, exotische Früchte und eine feine Mineralität prägen ihren Stil.

Neben den Grand Vins entstehen mit "Le Petit Haut Lafitte" Rouge und Blanc Zweitweine, die einen früheren Zugang zum Charakter des Hauses ermöglichen.
