Description
France / Bordeaux / Graves / Pessac-Léognan
Wine has been cultivated at Château Smith Haut Lafitte since the mid-14th century, making its vineyards among the oldest in Bordeaux. In 1990, the former top athletes from the French Olympic ski team acquired the Château. One-third of the vineyards were replanted, sustainable management was introduced, and a cooperage was built on the premises. With these significant investments, they transformed a subpar winery into a highly acclaimed top producer of both red and white wines. For several years now, a high-class hotel and a two-Michelin-starred restaurant have complemented the estate.
