Description

Italy / Tuscany / Brunello di Montalcino / Il Vignone

The Poggio Antico winery is nestled in the sunny hills of Montalcino, in one of the appellation's highest locations. This privileged location offers a unique climate. With constant breezes and bathed in sunshine, optimal growing conditions prevail here for the iconic Tuscan grape variety Sangiovese. With great attention to detail and very low yields, the young oenologist Federico Trost produces grand Brunellos that truly captivate with their elegance and complexity. To preserve ecological diversity and further enhance grape quality, Poggio Antico switched to sustainable viticulture in 2020.
