The 2016 Brunello di Montalcino offers classic aromas of wild cherries, toasted nuts, blue flowers and forest floor. While the other wines in Poggio Antico's portfolio are aged in smaller tonneaux, this wine is instead aged in large Slavonian barrels. I love the delicate approach, the intensity of those floral aromas and the silky texture. This classic Brunello really stands out.
