The Poggio Antico winery is tucked away in the sunny hills of Montalcino, in one of the highest areas of the appellation. This privileged location has a unique climate. With constant breezes and sunshine, these are ideal growing conditions for the iconic Tuscan grape variety Sangiovese. With great attention to detail and very low yields, the young oenologist Federico Trost produces great Brunellos that really attract attention with their elegance and complexity. To preserve ecological diversity and to further increase the quality of the grapes, Poggio Antico switched to organic viticulture in 2020.
