Familia Torres Grans Muralles 2004
Description
Description
Spain / Catalonia / Conca de Barberà / Grans Muralles
The winery, family-owned since its founding in 1870, has been particularly shaped by Miguel A. Torres. He is considered one of the most innovative and influential winemakers and has long been one of Spain's legends. The winery has written Spanish wine history by rediscovering old, almost forgotten Catalan grape varieties. Two of these autochthonous grape varieties, Garró and Samsó, are used for the single-vineyard wine Grans Muralles. This prestigious vineyard is located at the foot of the ancient walls of a former Cistercian monastery. From the grapes of this single vineyard, the exceptional winemaker presses the best wine of the region.
