Château Quintus Grand Cru Classé 2015
Description
Description
The Dillon family of winemakers regards Quintus as their fifth child alongside the red and white wines of their Châteaux Haut-Brion and La Mission Haut-Brion. Since the Romans, creators of the Saint-Émilion vineyards, were in the habit of naming their fifth child Quintus, Clarence Dillon renamed the estate Château Quintus. A bottle shape specially designed for Quintus was also introduced, based on the bottle shapes used by Château Haut-Brion in the mid-19th century. One of these ancient bottles was recently unearthed in a pirate cave on the island of Mayotte in the Indian Ocean. As with its predecessors, a raised seal was engraved on the glass.
