Château Duhart Milon 2014
Description
Description
One of the early owners of Château Duhart-Milon is said to have been "Sir Duhart," a privateer under Louis XV. While the origins of the estate and its early owner may in truth be less distinctive, the lore of the privateer served as inspiration for the design of Duhart-Milon's labels. For a long time, the estate fell into disrepair until it was finally bought and saved by the Rothschild family in 1962. Duhart-Milon expanded rapidly as the family completed the vineyards by purchasing and exchanging plots. Major projects to recultivate the vineyards and renovate the château followed. This remarkable, 40-year achievement allowed Château Duhart-Milon to reclaim its former Grand Cru Classé status with an exceptional wine.
