Description
France / Bordeaux / Médoc / Pauillac
One of the early owners of Château Duhart-Milon is said to have been "Sir Duhart," a privateer under Louis XV. Although the origins of the estate and its early owner may in truth be less remarkable, the传 story of the privateer served as inspiration for the design of Duhart-Milon's labels. For a long time, the winery fell into disrepair until it was finally bought and saved by the Rothschild family in 1962. Duhart-Milon expanded rapidly as the family completed the vineyards through acquisitions and exchanges of parcels. Major projects to reclaim the vineyards and renovate the château followed. A remarkable 40-year effort that allowed Château Duhart-Milon to regain its former Grand Cru Classé status with an exceptional wine.
