Château Duhart Milon 2016
Description
Description
One of the early owners of Château Duhart-Milon is said to have been "Sir Duhart", a privateer under Louis XV. Although the origins of the estate and its early owner may in truth be less distinctive, the handed-down story of the privateer served as inspiration for the design of Duhart-Milon's labels. For a long time, the winery fell into disrepair until it was finally bought and saved by the Rothschild family in 1962. Duhart-Milon quickly expanded as the family completed the vineyards through acquisitions and exchanges of parcels. Major projects to recultivate the vineyards and renovate the château followed. A remarkable, 40-year achievement that enabled Château Duhart-Milon to regain its former Grand Cru Classé status with an exceptional wine.
