Château Duhart-Milon

Château Duhart-Milon, a 4ème Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification, lies west of Pauillac and belongs to the Lafite-Rothschild portfolio. The vineyards rest on gravel- and sand-rich soils over limestone, providing optimal drainage and deep root penetration. Cabernet Sauvignon clearly dominates and gives the wines structure, tension and classic Pauillac notes of cedar and cassis, while Merlot adds elegance and fullness. Duhart-Milon stands for a linear, precise style with fine tannin architecture and pronounced ageing potential. Through careful parcel work and modern yet restrained vinification, the estate produces wines that reflect the DNA of Lafite: elegant, balanced and long-lived.

Bordeaux

Origin in Focus

Bordeaux

Bordeaux is one of the world’s most renowned wine regions – a name that has stood for elegance, diversity and ageing potential for centuries. Gravel, clay and limestone soils alternate, allowing fine nuances in the wines that reflect both terroir and craftsmanship.

Bordeaux is typically known for blends in which grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc work together harmoniously.

Stylistically, red Bordeaux wines are defined by a balance of fruit, structure and freshness. The white wines – usually made from Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and sometimes Muscadelle – range from crisp and citrus-driven to creamy and complex.
