Neal Martin for Robert Parker
The 2015 Château Cissac, which I tasted at the annual Cru Bourgeois tasting (and which I strangely didn't try at the primeur tasting), has a well-defined bouquet with notes of blackberry and undergrowth. I would have liked more intensity, but it is charming and precise. On the palate it is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite angular in style with crisp tannins and lively black, cedar-like fruit on the finish.
