Grand Cru Classé

The 2020 Brane-Cantenac has developed well, offering aromas of blackberries and crème de cassis that mingle with notes of licorice, pencil shavings, violets and subtle hints of smoked meat. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, with a lush fruit core, ripe acids and sweet tannins that hold their ground on the spicy finish, it can't quite match the purity and sensuality of the 2019, but it's a strong effort.
