Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2017 Château Brane-Cantenac opens a little reservedly with aromas of baked blackberries, plum jam and crème de cassis, as well as notes of cigar boxes and tar. Medium to full-bodied, it shows many expressive fruit flavors on the palate, with firm, grainy tannins and plenty of freshness, and finishes with great length.
