Château Beychevelle 2015

The name derives from the term ‘baisse-voile’ (‘to lower the sails’) and refers to the legend that passing ships lowered their sails in honour of the lord of the estate, Jean-Louis Nogaret de La Valette, the first Duke of Épernon. The ship with the griffin head and lowered sails still adorns the Beychevelle label today.
