Château Beychevelle 2014
Description
Description
Château Beychevelle is considered one of the most beautiful châteaux in Bordeaux. Amidst vineyards, surrounded by a magnificent park, it lies directly on the Gironde. Its name is derived from "baisse-voile" ("to lower sails"), referring to the legend that passing ships lowered their sails in honour of the lord of the manor, the first Duke of Epernon, Jean-Louis Nogaret de la Valette. The ship with the griffin's head and lowered sails still adorns the Beychevelle label. For Bordeaux lovers, Château Beychevelle is one of the top addresses for impressive, finessed Saint-Juliens.
