Javier Rodríguez is one of the most outstanding winemakers in Spain and has specialized in refined terroir wines. Hardly anyone knows the Tempranillo grape variety as well as he does. The ungrafted Tempranillo vines for El Teso Alto grow on a single site at an altitude of 830 meters. Planted on gravel soils, these vines were planted before the phylloxera plague of 1886 and produce extremely low quality yields. The result is barely a thousand bottles of this exclusive and unique wine.
