Description

Larmandier Bernier Longitude Premier Cru Extra-Brut is a Blanc de Blancs made from 100% Chardonnay from chalk-rich Premier Cru sites in the Côte des Blancs. The grapes come mainly from Vertus, Avize and Oger. The nose shows citrus, green apple, white flowers and a hint of brioche; on the palate it is taut and dry with fine mousse, chalky minerality and saline freshness. Biodynamic farming underlines the Champagne's clear, linear style.

Larmandier-Bernier

Larmandier-Bernier is one of the great names among grower Champagnes from the Côte des Blancs. The family estate has farmed old Chardonnay vineyards in Grand and Premier Cru villages such as Vertus, Cramant and Avize biodynamically for many years. Spontaneous fermentation, long lees ageing and minimal dosage produce Champagnes that are purist, deeply mineral and strongly shaped by terroir. Whether Latitude, Longitude or single-vineyard Champagnes such as Les Chemins d'Avize, Larmandier-Bernier stands for distinctive, highly precise Champagne cherished by connoisseurs and sommeliers alike.

Origin in Focus

Champagne

Champagne in north-eastern France is the home of the world’s most famous sparkling wine. The cool climate, limestone and chalk soils, and a long tradition of bottle fermentation shape its unmistakable style: tension, finesse and characteristic minerality. The main grape varieties are Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.
