Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2015 Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is medium to deep garnet purple in color and is elegantly fruity with crushed redcurrants, black raspberries and cassis with notes of lavender, rose hips, arable soil and mushrooms. Medium-bodied and of remarkable purity and beautiful balance, it has a firm frame of very fine-grained tannins and plenty of freshness, finishing with a persistent mineral note.
