Pauillac
William Kelley for Robert Parker
The 2019 Pichon-Longueville Baron will go down in history alongside the 2016, 2010 and 1989 as one of the Château's great wines of modern times. In the glass it unfolds with aromas of cassis and plums that mingle with notes of cigar paper, sweet clay soil and violets. It is full-bodied, velvety and complex, with excellent concentration, lively freshness and round, powdery tannins. With its aroma and resonance, this is a profound young Pauillac.
