Lisa Perrotti-Brown for Robert Parker
The 2016 Pichon-Longueville Baron is deep garnet purple in color and offers a smooth and seductive nose of warm red and blackcurrants, black plum jam, truffles, tapenade and rosehip tea with hints of sandalwood, Chinese spices and iron ore. Medium to full-bodied, firmly structured and packed with mineral and exotic, spicy black fruits, it finishes very long with compelling herbal notes.
