Buccella is a small winery in Napa Valley, California. It has stood for powerful and intense wines since the first vintage in 2002 - Buccella comes from Latin and freely translated means "full-bodied". Landscapers Bill and Alicia Deem had visited Napa on their honeymoon and decided to get into the wine business. They secured long-term contracts with winemakers throughout the Napa Valley region and began making wines at various wineries in the region. In 2006, they acquired their own winery just south of the city of Napa. Their philosophy is that grapes from different appellations and terroirs increase the complexity of a wine. Before the final cuveé, all wines are blind tasted multiple times to ensure only the highest quality batches are used.
