Quinta Couselo Turonia 2023

The small estate Quinta de Couselo is one of the oldest wineries in Rías Baixas and has been producing wines since 1864. It is defined by its long family tradition, love of wine and respect for the environment. The estate brings traditional Galician grape varieties to life by combining proven viticultural tradition with modern cellar technology. Rosal is the oldest area of all Galician designations of origin. Its special climatic conditions allow the harvest to be extended into October and make it possible to pick perfectly ripe grapes.

Albariño is the most widely planted white grape variety in Galicia. It is especially dominant in Rías Baixas and expresses the terroir and salty minerality of the Atlantic climate with elegance.

Rías Baixas on Galicia’s Atlantic coast is Spain’s home of fresh, maritime white wines. The focus is on Albariño: aromatic, with citrus, white peach and saline minerality. The mild, humid climate, granite and slate soils, and pergola-style training systems support healthy grapes and preserve natural acidity.
