Buccella is a small winery in Napa Valley, California. Since its first vintage in 2002, it has stood for powerful and intense wines - Buccella comes from Latin and roughly translates to "full-bodied." Landscapers Bill and Alicia Deem had visited Napa on their honeymoon and decided to enter the wine business. They signed long-term contracts with grape growers throughout the Napa Valley region and began producing wines in various wineries in the area. In 2006, they acquired their own winery south of Napa town. Their philosophy is that grapes from different appellations and terroir areas increase the complexity of a wine. Before the final blend, all wines are blind tasted multiple times to ensure that only the highest quality batches are used.
